We recommend Crew Basics for the first one or two classes. These classes start with the basic movements, interspersed with frequent stretching. Within 5 minutes you can row well enough to achieve a full body aerobic workout.
Just ten weeks before the Barcelona Olympics, Silken Laumann was involved in a horrific rowing boat crash. The crash broke her lower leg and severed her calf muscle above her ankle. Her goal prior to the crash was nothing short of a Gold Medal. While lying in a German hospital she decided she would at least try to compete in Barcelona. She began working out by using a stationary bike adapted so she could maintain fitness. Unbelievably she entered the regatta, made the final, and won a bronze medal. It was nothing short of a miracle.
